Powerful Display. Versatile Installation.

AXIS 8-inch landscape and portrait format options fit most panels, either as a stand-alone PFD or as an additional display in a larger AXIS system, including an MFD or split-screen MFD/EIS. They offer a familiar Garmin feel and operation, with updated icons, fonts, colors and more to enhance the display. Plus, the AXIS flight display uses the same panel cutout and screw points as the 7-inch G3X Touch™ display, making it an easy upgrade in your aircraft.

Modern Primary Flight Display (PFD)

Replace traditional flight instruments with a reliable, fully digital Primary Flight Display designed to improve awareness and reduce pilot workload.

The AXIS PFD supports split-screen operation with configurable PFD, MFD and EIS windows, allowing you to monitor multiple systems simultaneously. Customisable widgets provide quick access to flight plans, traffic, weather and other important information, while configurable data fields and quick-access controls make the display easy to tailor to your preferences.

Enhanced Synthetic Vision Technology, 3D SafeTaxi® diagrams and an MFD-style moving map integrated into the HSI further improve situational awareness during every stage of flight.

Multifunction Display (MFD)

The AXIS Multifunction Display presents essential flight information in a clear, easy-to-read format to help you stay informed throughout your flight.

Its dynamic moving map supports overlays for:

• ADS-B "In" traffic
• Weather
• Terrain
• Obstacles
• Additional flight data

Split-screen capability allows more information to remain visible at once, while an intuitive radial menu provides quick access to waypoint details and simple flight plan modifications. Easy-to-use controls also provide access to additional system information and operational tools when required.

Engine Indication System (EIS)

The integrated Engine Indication System delivers comprehensive real-time engine monitoring to help protect your aircraft and optimise engine performance.

Pilots can monitor:

• Easy-to-read engine gauges
• Fuel computer information
• Engine exceedance alerts and advisories
• Lean Assist mode

Selecting the EIS strip instantly opens a dedicated MFD page with expanded engine information.

When paired with the Garmin Pilot™ app on a compatible mobile device or the GDL® 60 datalink with PlaneSync™ technology (compatibility coming soon), AXIS automatically records and wirelessly uploads engine data for secure storage.

Optional integration with flyGarmin.com® analysis services provides deeper insight into engine health, maintenance information, flight analysis and additional operational data.

AXIS EIS supports piston-powered aircraft fitted with most normally aspirated or turbocharged 4- to 6-cylinder engines, as well as turbine-powered experimental aircraft. Support for certified twin-engine EIS is planned for a future release.

Advanced Flight Planning

Building and managing flight plans is designed to be fast and intuitive using the touchscreen interface.

Graphical routing allows you to clearly visualise your complete route, including:

• Departures
• Arrivals
• Visual approaches
• Instrument approaches
• Holding procedures

AXIS supports GPS-guided LPV and LNAV/ILS approaches, while automatic GPS-to-LOC switching allows compatible autopilots to fly complete ILS approaches with minimal pilot workload.

Integrated Audio Panel Communicate clearly using the integrated four-place intercom built into the AXIS flight display. Additional communication features include: Dual COMM switching Simultaneous communication and monitoring of a second AXIS or external COMM radio COMM playback for reviewing clearances and missed radio transmissions Built-in Bluetooth® connectivity also allows you to pair your compatible smartphone to stream music or make and receive phone calls through your aviation headset.

Built-In Connectivity AXIS includes integrated Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity to simplify cockpit workflow and keep your system up to date. Use built-in Wi-Fi for database downloads, while Bluetooth provides seamless integration with the Garmin Pilot™ and ForeFlight Mobile apps on compatible mobile devices. Airport Safety and Emergency Assistance

The AXIS flight display includes several advanced safety features designed to improve confidence both on the ground and in the air.

Airport safety functions include:

• Runway Occupancy Awareness³ to help reduce the risk of runway incursions
• Optional SurfaceWatch™ technology to help ensure alignment with the intended runway

For emergency situations, the dedicated EMER bezel button provides rapid access to emergency assistance features.

Depending on system configuration, Smart Glide™ technology can automatically identify a suitable airport following an engine failure and, when connected to a compatible autopilot, guide the aircraft to that destination at best glide speed.

The system can also automatically load the selected airport's CTAF frequency into the primary COMM standby position while providing quick access to load the 7700 emergency squawk code.
