A luxurious AIRBUS AS350B3 on low skids with VIP leather interior and carpets was delivered to Pacific Avionics for a major avionics upgrade. The original S.F.I.M Autopilot was removed due to increased maintenance costs and down time and a new Garmin GFC600H autopilot was installed, along with a Garmin G500H Txi PFD/MFD display. A new instrument panel was cut and a leather wrapped overlay was installed to finish the job, providing the luxury feeling right through the aircraft.
With the Garmin GFC600H autopilot installed a number of load reducing and life saving features have been made available. From the ‘LEVEL’ button to the ESP (electronic stability control) features always ready for the pilots use when needed. Couple this with the Garmin GTN750/650 Xi series GPS navigators and Ground Speed Hold mode brings a whole new experience of control and stability.
The large Garmin G500H TXi split PFD/MFD display helps the pilot to absorb different levels of information. Coupled with the GTX 345 Transponder, ADS-B traffic information can be viewed or overlaid on the moving map.
Once the aircraft leaves the hangar, the true value in the technology purchased is found in the support from the manufacturer. Backed by new equipment warranty from Garmin and fixed cost exchange rates outside of warranty, the days of finding out an obscure part in your avionics suite is no longer produced are over. Additionally, Pacific Avionics commits to providing continued after sale and installation support to all our customers and works closely with all the major avionics manufacturers to do so.
