David Clark M-5B Microphone
The Model M-5B is an Electret, noise-cancelling microphone designed to operate in place of carbon and amplified dynamic microphones. Provides clear, crisp voice transmission. It will not operate in circuits that do not supply a DC bias voltage. Most modern aviation communications equipment do supply this required voltage.

How to Change:
To remove microphone:
- Gently pull off foam cover.
- Grasp microphone firmly and pull straight out.
To install microphone:
- Align keyway on microphone with keyway on boom.
- “TALK” should be inward towards the user’s face.
- Push until microphone snaps into place.
