DIGITAL HEIGHT ADVISORIES

Like other radar-based systems, the GHA 15 height advisor works by transmitting radio waves downward from your aircraft. When the signal is reflected from the surface, the system determines the precise height by using the time delay it takes to receive the signals back.

AN ALL-IN-ONE MODULE

The compact GHA 15 module is slightly larger than a deck of cards and weighs less than a pound (0.45 kg). The antenna and radar transceiver are built in to the unit, making for easy installation on the underside of your aircraft.

DIGITAL DISPLAY OPTIONS

The GHA 15 module is compatible with our G3X Touch flight displays in the experimental application and the GI-275-series in Certified Aircraft Installations to provide visual height advisory readouts1 & 3.

 

AUDIBLE HEIGHT CALLOUTS

Starting at 300’ AGL, pilots who have the GHA 15 audio outputs connected2 will hear altitude callouts at select intervals down to 1’ above the surface. These callouts are user-configurable as to how low the prompts will go.

ADVANCED PROCESSING

The GHA 15 height advisor can intelligently process hundreds of altitude measurements per second and apply advanced digital filters to maintain an accurate continuous reading of your AGL altitude.

PEACE-OF-MIND TECHNOLOGY

An affordable solution, the GHA 15 height advisor leverages proprietary Garmin signal processing technology to provide a smooth-tracking AGL altitude reference, even in challenging terrain environments.

 

DIGITAL DISPLAY - CERTIFIED

Using the readings provided by the GHA 15, the GI 275 can also provide AGL audio callouts³ to help keep the pilot’s eyes looking outside the cockpit. Beginning at 300 feet, the pilot will hear audible AGL altitude callouts at select intervals down to 1 foot AGL.
